This group will integrate the processing approaches developed by the different thematic research groups in order to build and evaluate the genericity of the methods and processing chains resulting from multi-sensor data to the development of analytical and knowledge indicators, that include multiple thematic and geographical areas.

It federates the approaches developed by the thematic research groups in order to construct and evaluate the genericity of methods and processing chains resulting from multi-sensor data to the development of analytical and knowledge indicators, including multiple thematic and geographical sites. Satellite information and Earth observation are, for many scientific disciplines and public policies, at the heart of knowledge production processes and territorial management mechanisms. They represent a founding science of the unit, whose added value has been validated. A main lock identified is the consideration of multiple sensors and processing formats in order to identify the possible degrees of genericity and their complexity in terms of data, processing chains, and analyses. A focus is put on the employability of the processing chains with regard to the needs expressed by the partners in the South.

This group proposes to go beyond existing approaches by taking into account the evolution of technologies, sensors and dissemination tools. The scientific objectives are the development, perpetuation and transfer of methods and processing chains. It promotes the manipulation of information, the dissemination of products and the appropriation of methods and products in line with the needs of scientific communities.
